Telemedicine instructions:

  1. If you are a new patient, you will be required to register online through our patient portal. Our front desk staff will email you a portal invitation. If you are an established patient, you have the option to update your medical history, medications, and allergies through your patient portal or at the time of the virtual visit.  Updating your medical information prior to the virtual visit will help to streamline the appointment and ensure we have the most up-to-date information.  Our portal web address is:  Once in your portal, you can find your health history in the "My Health" section.

  1. If your virtual visit is for a concerning skin lesion or new rash, you may be asked to e-mail photos of the lesion or rash prior to your visit.  Prior to submitting photos, please go through this tutorial to learn how to take the most optimal photos for telemedicine evaluation: .  Photos can be emailed to [email protected]

  1. On the day of your virtual visit, make sure you have good internet connection.  Please start checking your text messages or e-mail 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.  You will be getting an alert from, a third-party HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform for telemedicine, inviting you to the virtual office of your preferred physician.  The process is simple and you will not need to download any additional software or create an account.  Please click here for device and web browser requirements and to see how to check in for your virtual visit.

  1. Although many common skin conditions can be addressed through a virtual visit, some urgent skin conditions may require an in-office evaluation and/or treatment.  If this is the case, your dermatologist will discuss with you the options for scheduling an urgent in-office visit.
